Look Development

I've always liked the look of really dense point cloud data. Using Maya and Mash we scattered points onto a MRI scan of the human brain. The result is what you see below. The tricky part was finding a balance between emphasizing different structures of the brain. The structures that ended up standing out the most was the vain's.


Below are color variations to see what possibilities we had at making different structures pop. One important element was the laser we follow into the depths of the brain.

Robotic Arm Design

It's always fun designing robotic things. I have library of kitbashing pieces i use to quickly whip up some ideas. We ended up going the most believable design that didn't distract us from the focus of the shot.
